eis — Nothing fascinates me quite like the world.

„ShoCoRett“ – that’s what I called my solo shows when I first went on stage in 1996 as Fou Florissant – crazy blooming. Why French? Oh, I do quite a lot of things by instinct.

My name Florian means „the blooming one“, and somehow that became my guiding idea. Talking flowery, writing flowery and constantly coming up with new ideas, like blossoms popping up all over a spring meadow – that’s pretty typical of me.

With me, people quickly get the feeling: this guy doesn’t hold anything back. „Yup!“ I say. „Nature doesn’t either.“ If something needs to come out, it needs to come out. So I share it – gladly, with anyone who can enjoy it.

Book Floo

I can honestly say that I perform almost anywhere. I have played in cellars, in snow-covered courtyards and at festivals from Austria to Hungary – not to mention some truly wonderful theatres.

Just tell me where to go. I am already smiling at the thought of performing for you. My heart is set on turning up with plenty of good humour – whether I bring the “Ultimate Stick Band” in my pocket, a ukulele in front of me, or both.

In any case, I will bring along a lively mixture of show, comedy, satirical cabaret and music.

My songs are fluent. My English is more adventurous.

I sing every English song perfectly – mainly because songs are so wonderfully easy to learn by heart.

My spoken English, on the other hand, is definitely not fluent. I sometimes get tangled up in wonderfully curious explanations while trying to describe something for which I have temporarily misplaced the correct word.

Strangely enough, I occasionally even write poetry in English – and, rather surprisingly, it does not sound half bad.

So this programme is especially suitable for anyone who enjoys music, physical comedy and just a little bit of Germlish.

The prices listed are starting prices. Travel expenses, accommodation where necessary, and any special technical requirements will be agreed according to the location and nature of the event.

For cultural associations and non-profit organisations, I am always happy to see whether we can find a suitable arrangement. 😉

For commercial events in Germany, the statutory contribution to the German Artists’ Social Insurance Fund may apply in addition to the agreed fee. It is declared and paid directly by the liable organiser.

One-to-one monologue work in Wismar and Hamburg

For me, the desire to act has a great deal to do with a hunger for experience. At least, that is how it has always felt to me.

Whenever I teach, many different worlds meet: language, philosophy, psychology, sociology, nature, history, culture and personal development. To me, the art of acting contains the full richness of being human. There is a value in it that is almost impossible to grasp.

That is the same respect and appreciation I bring to every person in whom this fire is burning.

Let us explore together, in one intensive session, what might be possible. Away from the idea that there is one supposedly correct interpretation. Towards the point where it becomes clear why this particular story is being told by you: through your individuality, your thoughts, your contradictions – and perhaps through something you have never quite trusted yourself to attempt before.

We analyse, play, experiment, discard ideas, sense what is happening and continue thinking together.

Acting can never be explained completely.

If it could, we would probably have answered every question humanity has ever asked.

Trying to get to the bottom of those questions is a little like diving into the sea.

And one more thing: my English is definitely not perfect. Fortunately, you are the one bringing the text. I bring the questions – and if a word goes missing, we can always act it out. Germlish is warmly welcome. 😉

How it works

You contact me and send me the text you would like to work on.

We then arrange:

a 90-minute session,
a suitable rehearsal space in Wismar or Hamburg,
and a brief conversation about what particularly interests you about the text.

You are welcome to learn the text by heart beforehand, but this is not necessary for our first meeting.

The Personal Deep Dive

To explore what lies beneath the surface of your text, work on specific questions of interpretation and performance, or simply try things out together.

And should you afterwards feel an irresistible need to discover whether there might still be hidden treasure further down, I will not only appreciate your curiosity – I will also deduct the cost of your first session from the following package:

Four Deep Dives Below the Surface

4 × 90 minutes · €340

Four sessions that build upon one another, with time for everything that can enrich your acting both technically and personally:

language and voice
posture and movement
gesture and facial expression
breath and rhythm
thoughts and emotions
character, situation and relationships

Your first individual session will be credited in full. Should you decide to continue with the complete package, you will only pay the remaining €245.

Suitable for

People with or without acting experience who would like to:

prepare a monologue,
discover a new side of a character,
prepare for a drama school entrance examination or audition,
or simply experience what can emerge between a text and themselves.

I will not show you the correct way to play another human being. Together, we will discover how this person can become visible precisely through you.

And because the desire for personal development and further learning is often strongest in those who have the least money available for it, I would especially ask you to contact me if the fee is a genuine obstacle.
